Matt brings a breadth of experience teaching various science subjects. He is known for integrating innovative, cross-disciplinary projects that combine biology, engineering, and technology. Matt enjoys guiding students through designing food-growing systems, experimenting with materials, and mastering tools such as 3D printers. His work emphasizes problem-solving and helps students become motivated, self-directed learners.

PERSONAL

Outside the classroom, Matt is a dedicated woodworker and gardener who enjoys creating functional projects and nurturing sustainable food systems. Family is central to his life—his granddaughter, two adopted sons, and one of their wives all share his home. He recently completed a home addition to better support and create space for them.
