PHILOSOPHY
Marina believes learning Spanish is about more than acquiring a new language—it is about developing confidence, building meaningful connections, and gaining a greater appreciation for diverse cultures. She strives to create a classroom where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and growing. Through encouragement, high expectations, and genuine care, she helps students discover their potential and become confident communicators.

PROFESSIONAL

Marina brings more than a decade of experience supporting students through individualized instruction, classroom collaboration, and positive behavior support. As a Teacher Assistant at Odyssey Charter School, she worked alongside teachers to prepare engaging lessons, monitor student progress, and provide one-on-one Spanish instruction. A native Spanish speaker with dual citizenship in the United States and Mexico, Marina brings authentic language and cultural experiences into her classroom. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Spanish and completed the Praxis Spanish examination in 2026, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in language education.

PERSONAL

Marina enjoys sharing her love of the Spanish language and the rich traditions of Hispanic cultures with her students. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, continuing her education, and discovering new ways to inspire learning. She believes that lifelong learning, curiosity, and compassion enrich both the classroom and everyday life.
