PROFESSIONAL
Dr. Hansen is a double board-certified psychiatrist in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He earned his medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he developed a strong interest in the mind-body connection and its role in holistic psychiatric care. He completed both his General Psychiatry residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he also served as Chief Fellow and was actively involved in training medical students, residents, and fellows.
Dr. Hansen brings experience working with patients across the lifespan giving him a well-rounded approach to managing complex cases and family dynamics. He works with adolescents facing a wide range of challenges, using evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, supportive, and psychodynamic approaches, along with medication management when appropriate. He collaborates closely with patients and their families to develop individualized treatment plans that support lasting mental health and well-being.
PERSONAL
Luc grew up in northern California and spent most of his free time playing sports and outdoor activities. Now that he lives in Utah, he continues to enjoy skateboarding, rockclimbing, gardening and quilting. He and his wife have three daughters who keep him busy with lots of glitter and other princess necessities.
