It is important to me to provide the best evidence-based psychiatric treatment within a collaborative model including the youth and their family. I believe psychiatric diagnosis should be a collaborative process during which both the physician and the patient develop an understanding of current symptomatology and arrive together at a treatment plan in accordance with the youth and their parent's goals and values. Overall, I have a conservative approach to medication and work closely with the clinical team, the youth, and the parents to monitor progress and help each youth to find the balance and well being needed to reach their potential.
