Of course students don't think we get it, which to a degree we don't, but I do know what it was like to be struggling and feeling lost at that age. I was fortunate enough to have parents who put a lot of work and time into helping me and getting me the help I needed. Because of that, I try to be a person who can be there for those who feel like no one is there for them or understands."

Hannah has been working with foster youth for over ten years and has worked in residential treatment since 2019. She is an AEGIS Instructor, specializing in crisis de-escalation and intervention. It is important to Hannah to work in an environment that aligns with her values, and she is committed to making her team feel valued and supported. Since joining the Gateway team in 2021, Hannah’s ability to demonstrate clear boundaries combined with compassion and fun has made her a valuable asset to the Gateway community.
PERSONAL
Hannah was adopted through the foster care system and raised by parents who have been providing foster care for over twenty-five years. Her own personal struggles as a teen allow her to approach our students with a lot of empathy and understanding. In her spare time, Hannah loves spending time outside in the mountains and on the water with her dog, Prince. Hannah is a big supporter of New Zealand All Blacks rugby team and picks up rugby scrimmages when she can. She is a foodie, a tennis player and a lover of live music. Hannah is the self-proclaimed “best Mario Kart player of all time.”
